He has painted for many years and taken workshops with the late Ed Whitney in Maine. For sixteen years John conducted his own painting workshops thoughout the country.
"I now paint for my own enjoyment. I would like my paintings to be entertaining, to make people smile. I try not to just copy a sene. I like to use the essence of what is there and create my own interpretation of it. I use a lot of color and try to make the painting happy. I hope everyone enjoys them.
